ELEVATE

Elevate is the blog about the people and organizations that answer a call to action everyday and empower those who are less fortunate but equally deserving. They give back, never ask for anything in return, and they elevate others unto new worlds.

An important day

Today is a very special day for my family and me.  Bringing this book to life was a long process and I am extremely grateful to all of you for your love, support, encouragement, guidance, and friendship.  These next few weeks will be exhilarating and challenging.  Energizing and tiring.  And I am looking forward to doing every minute of it with you.  I understand that over the next few weeks, there will be some unwarranted and unjustified compliments and praise about me and the book.  I also understand there will be some unwarranted and unjustified attacks on me and the book. I promise you that I will not take either too seriously.   Please know that I approach this phase of the process with the same humility and hope that I approached the entire process in the first place.  A hope that it can make a difference.  A hope that it will help young people understand the importance of their decisions and help those that love them and care for them understand their potency.

I ask that you remember the police sergeant and his family in all of this, and you remember Wes’ children as well.  These are the victims and it’s their pain that can never be forgotten in all of the “book talk.”  Lastly, you were my friends before this book release and you will be my friends long after.  I thank you for your stalwart support, and look forward to this journey together.

Elevate,
Wes

This is the story of two boys in the journey of a generation.
